You must link accounts on first launch (Use the I have played before button), otherwise linking is impossible at a later date.
As of newer versions of proton and the game, linking accounts after first launch works. I had no reason to test this in newer versions as after linking devices cloud saves work flawlessly. I often swap between two devices and have never encountered a cloud save issue of any kind.
Game used to work flawlessly. Ever since the 2021 Snowfest update the game no longer boots into the launcher.
Tried with multiple versions of proton, the game no longer works.

Due to the Glyph Launcher working differently than before, native Proton no longer works. The fix that worked for me was using GE 6.21 on steam. However, 7.0rc3-GE did NOT work. Your millage may vary, I suggest trying both versions and restarting steam to avoid any problems. I also suggest disabling Notifications under the Advanced tab in the Glyph Launcher settings.
I can confirm as of the newest update the game works perfectly with the EXACT version of Proton I listed (Proton-6.21-GE-2), newer versions of GE (Such as the 7.2 versions) and the Steam included Proton versions will not allow the launcher to even start. Make sure to restart Steam after changing the Proton version selected, and to disable the launcher notifications in the advanced tab of the launcher settings (Though this does not seem to be needed anymore, the notifications worked correctly on KDE, other desktops may not work correctly with them). The video settings of the game were left at the defaults excluding increased draw distance and detail distance.
If you are using normal Proton, accessing The Grand Orrery will crash the game, switching to GE will fix this.
Game crashes once a day or so with some updates. No crashes with others. Mostly stable.
Use DirectX 11, DirectX 12 does not work.
I do not have an Xbox style controller, so I can not test controller compatibility fully. Switch pro controller worked, but was hard to use because of button prompts.
